Well…. Last night was a long night. I had to go to the ER because i puked up blood on the way to the gym. I’m glad it happened but at the same time im pissed. I’m glad it happened because i now know why i can’t eat worth a s***, my sleep is horrible and the rapid unexplained weight loss and crap training session for the past month. So after waiting 5hrs in the ER with no food or drink and 25 bucks later in prescriptions i should be better. They didn’t give me an exact diagnosis because they said they would have to look in my stomach to see where the bleeding is but they gave me prilosec to reduce the acid in my stomach and 2 types of anti biotics incase i have an ulcer because they said most of the time when you have an ulcer there is a certain bacteria present. I’ll keep everyone updated on my condition. Physically i am fine aside from a chest cold i got last week but thats going away. Hopefully i will be in good enough shape to do the paxton show in 2 weeks.

Little update: No legs or chest this week. Went to the chiro yesterday and got fixed up. I’m doing better today which is a good sign but he said the symptoms im telling him could be a bad disc or arthritis which im aggravating with the heavy weights but there was no inflammation which was a good sign. I go back monday for a final visit and if its not good after that i gotta get an MRI to see if its something worse. Not sure if i will do events tomorrow, my cold got 10x worse yesterday when i woke up, had trouble breathing all day and just felt like crap in general. So tomorrow i might do events if feeling up to it, if not i may do a light leg day just to do something and not sit around.

Going to switch back to my older routine i was doing before strongman. Going to focus on chest alot more now as i need to balance out my physique and my back is so over powering it is screwing up my posture.
Day 1:
DB Flat Bench
DB Incline Bench superset with flys
Skull Crushers
Pushdowns Supeset with overhead extensions
Day 2:
Deadlifts (mostly defecit work because i need to work on strength off the floor not the top of the lift)
Shrugs
DB Rows
Lat pulldowns
Heavy Preacher curls supersetted with lighter high rep db curls till failure including cheating (im talking about rubber arms having to swing up a 30lb DB your arms are so fried
)
Day 3:
Squats (narrow stance and wide stance to hit weak areas. Don’t expect big numbers till the winter)
Leg Press
Leg extensions and curls
Calf raises
Day 4:
BB Military press standing
Seated DB shoulder presses
front / side raises
BB Flat bench
Abs and obliques
Had to throw chest in there twice because it is really lagging and i need to nail it. This probably won’t be set in stone. I will adapt it after a couple workouts to suite my needs.

Friday will be here soon. Was 197 this morning and about 203 right now. I think i will eat light on the way down every few hrs to get used to eating again then throw on some sweat shirts a few hrs before weigh ins and get the water out and back in within minutes. Pretty confident about making the weight, my joints are feeling great today which is a bonus as they have been very sore all week.

Since nationals are just around the bend, I’m gonna have to change the way my log is right now. Now i know you guys want to keep track of my progress but strategy wise i think it is best to keep what im doing under covers. I’ll try and keep updating with as much info as i can without getting into to much detail that it helps out the competition.

Did a light workout today with a buddy of mine. Did some light seated BB front military, got a triple with 185 i think that may be a PR. Did some various DB overhead pressing after then worked tri’s a little. Was going to do squats but didnt have shorts in my bag when i got to the gym since my bag got all messed up from going down to VA i forgot to throw a new pair in. This week has been rough tho, sleep hasn’t been good and food intake is poor at best. Luckily it is all over. I have 1 more final on tuesday then i can start working full time at my job and training which is a blessing for me since being on a strict schedule really helps with diet. Gonna revamp my diet since it needs to be adjusted a little then start fresh next week. Probably adjust my training as well for nationals.

Unfortunately for me, i came down with a cold this week. Hopefully it passes by sat. when i have my first competition of the year in Maine. Just gotta keep the fluid intake high and lots of rest and vitamins!
